1. Assistant Professor, Economics
The Economics Department at Barnard College, an affiliate of Columbia University, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2023. We are interested in candidates specializing in Energy/Climate Economics or International Finance. Candidates must demonstrate willingness and ability to teach intermediate macroeconomics to undergraduates.

Must have a Ph.D. in economics or related field by the time of appointment or beginning of first semester. 2. Research Scholars. The Department of Economics welcomes applications from research scholars interested in visiting Barnard while on leave from their home institutions. Research scholar positions provide an institutional affiliation with access to Barnard and Columbia resources and facilities, but do not come with any salary, benefits, or a private office. The first step in the application process involves nomination by a member of our full-time faculty, ideally someone with whom the scholar plans to work closely during their stay. A formal letter of application and vita should be sent to the department chair after the nomination.
